IIEST was established in 2013. It was incorporated on 26th September under company act 1956. It started with the notion of providing skills training to every individual to enable them to get sustainable jobs in their chosen field. IIEST was established as training centre of NIESBUD, autonomous body of Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship, Govt. of India, under PPP mode. With passage of time, the management board felt the need to focus on the issue of "Youth SelfEmployment". In association with Govt. of India through various skill development as well as entrepreneurship development schemes, IIEST followed the path of implementing the objectives of Government Departments promoting skill or / and entrepreneurship development policies in the country.
Later as the scope and mission gained momentum with various Industries, Other Govt. agencies, NGO(s), and Councils, IIEST was converted into a Federation. As of 1st Feb 2019,IIEST Federation , a section 8 company, is bounded to promote "not – for – profit activities" related to public and will provide to every SME's & Start-ups a platform to receive sustainable resources through incubations to accelerate their socio-economic growth.

To provide a quality-driven platform for SMEs & Startups, enabling them with sustainable resources to usher them towards accelerated socio-economic growth.

• The initiation phase is to provide sustainable manpower to the industries to achieve productivity

• The next phase is to provide sustainable resources to start-ups and small SME to accelerate the generating capacity of the country

• The final phase is to provide a sustainable channel of distribution to the industries for acceleration of industry growth.

• To provide manpower training programs in order to lessen the "unskilled - labor gap ratio" existing in the industries.

• To provide sustainable resources to SME's & Startups.

• To conduct research for the industries.

• To facilitate audits & assessments for the purpose of business growth

• To serve as bridge between govt agencies and industries for the purpose of promoting employment / self-employment initiative.

• To fulfill advisory role in policy making related to the industries.
